We are very excited awaiting the release of the new track from Example, Won’t Go Quietly, Over the past few months we have been following him closely, firstly when featuring on the Don Diablo track Hooligans, then with Watch the sun come up and now topping them all with this.

The video is great with one nasty girl in a club not standing for anyone looking at Example. Watch for yourself!

J.R. Rotem, the man behind the record label Beluga heights has released another catchy song here in the UK “Iyaz – Replay” which follows soon after “Jason Derulo Whatcha Say” which came out just before Christmas. This new song is already taken the number one spot in the iTunes chart. Initially I loved the track upon hearing, but after a couple of plays I’m already needing a break! I think your impression will be the same, Love it now! and get sick of it after the radio plays it at every possible opportunity.

Anyway I’ve got another song up my sleeve for this new year post, It’s currently number one in the Netherlands but I think it will make it over here too!
Its called “Deja Vu by Bob Taylor feat. Inna”

When you hear David Guetta’s name mentioned you think of ‘Baby When the lights go out’ and ‘When love takes over’ both awesome songs but not really the material for Akon to come along and join in. Meet ‘Sexy Bitch’ with Akon that certainly does work. It has a simple melody to begin with very minimalistic reminds me of the start to Benga & Coki – Night. Akons signature voice over the top. Then the chorus comes in, the melody changing and sounds vaguely like ‘The Egg – Walking Away’

After this is the part which gets you hooked “Damn who’s a sexy bitch. A sexy bitch…..”

Brilliant hearing David Guetta and Akon together, I loved them both individually but together they sound even better. Club Classics wants more

I’ve been looking at the potential summertime hits which we will remember this summer by and this is a serious contender. Remember “Dance Wiv Me” when Dizzee Rascal first came together with Calvin Harris? Well, Think bigger! Much Bigger! We’re talking about crossing the success of Calvin Harris’ “I’m not alone” with Dizzee’s “Bonkers” then you might come close. The song is produced by Calvin Harris and features Chrome.

The song was first played on Radio 1 as Zane Lowe’s record of the week on June 30th 2009 although isn’t actually released until some time in August.

It starts off with a typical Calvin Harris melody from which you can almost hear the resemblance with “I’m not alone” along with some classic Dizzee Rascal style singing over the top.

The chorus is catchy and summery. It’s musically clever, I’d personally go way back and compare it to “Welcome to Miami” by Will Smith but a bit more dense in features.

The ending I think will be the part which everyone in a club will know is coming and raise their hands in the air for. The song changes and breaks down completely, the tempo rises and it simplifies into Calvin’s take on Euphoric Trance. This is seriously the signature part in terms of clubs!

Want to hear it? I’m sure you do, but as I’ve mentioned it’s not out until August! I recommend typing it into YouTube and clicking through them, although it’s heavily policed at the moment with the track’s being removed there are a few breaking through. If you can’t be doing with this, This is going to get massive playtime on Radio 1, so keep listening!

Dutch DJ Don Diablo has come together with British Rapper Example to produce this hardcore-dirty-techno track (Could possibly be described as a more manageable Angerfist track)

I think for anyone approaching this track at first they should watch the video (I’ve embedded it here in HD – Click here) then go straight to iTunes and buy it!

I’ve heard all the remixes of this and in my opinion all you need is the Radio Edit, That said Doorly’s Dubstep Remix is also quite popular.

Year after year Cascada has been creeping into the poll positions of the dance charts with her cross between Hardcore trance melodies and her pop-like singing, “Everytime we touch”, “What hurts the most” both have a similar recipe, Cascada’s soft sounding lyrics followed by a bassline which shakes the floor.

Her new track’s recipe is a little different, keeping up with the crowd, most notably the likes of Black Eyed Peas – “Boom Boom Pow” – Theres a simple trance melody to start off then a Britney-Spear-Esque singing including vocoder. Along with a male voice repeating the lyrics back. Even the xylophone they seem to use is very Britney. The difference lies in the chorus which has a slightly more hardcore dance-like melody and bassline, The catchy line being “Oh, Oh” repeated excessively along with the title “Evacuate the dancefloor”

Then what follows is a Timbaland-like excursion with a very Lady Gaga “Poker Face” synth with a rapper (Will.I.Am style) signing:

“Now guess who’s back with a brand new track?
They got everybody in the club going mad
So everybody in the back
Get your back up off the wall and just shake that thang

Go crazy
Yo lady
Yo baby
Let me see you wreck that thang

I’ve lost count of the influences I can spot here, but the question is “Has this worked?”

The Answer: Yes, I think the track has already made it and will be played extensively in clubs and on the radio this summer until we’re as sick of it as we are of “Poker Face” or we got with “The Way I Am”
